Scrapbooking Scrapbooking

I decided to put up some new scrapbook pages on the website every now and then, even though I don't have a scanner. Please forgive the fact that they are not quite straight and some of the photos have glare on them. One day I really will have a scanner and these will look a lot better. But until then...

Tuesday 28th June 2005

On Saturday I finally got to catch up with Annette (she is a very busy person lately what with uni and all!), and did some scrapbooking. I got two layouts (almost) done, and both are of dad.

This one is of Dad's school photos. I have left space for journalling when I get some more info from him!

And one of Dad's Air Force days. Again still waiting on the journalling:

Sunday 19th June 2005

I have spent the whole day today scrapbooking :) I have been scrapbooking all the photos of Paul and me from our childhood. There were so many of them I did a couple of pages just filled with photos. Then, I did this one which is my favourite for the day. I hope I don't get sued...

Older Scrapbook Pages

This is the page I did of my Great Grandmother, Florence Knutsen (nee Nowlan). For more information about Florence, see my Family History page

This is me as a baby :) I photographed this layout because I was proud of my emboridery :) The sun and the little flowers as well as the butterfly are all hand stitched. Yes, I know, I am just a little bit nuts.

This layout is from our first trip to Kooroomba Vineyard and Lavender Farm. We liked it so much we went back another time (the newer Kooroomba trip layout is in my 2004 album).

Matt and I have been to Mt Tambourine several times. This layout is from the first time we went, with some of the photos from our bushwalks. There were two other pages that went with this which I didn't photograph. They are in my 2003 album.

This is a layout I did for my Vanderkyl heritage album. On the left is my maternal grandmother, Shirley, and on the right is one of her sisters, Wendy (whom Mum was named after). The photos didn't come up very well because they were a bit shiny. Hopefully I can do a better job with these when I get a scanner.

These are two more pages I have in my Vanderkyl heritage album. On the left is a page I did about my Grandfather, Jim Vanderkyl, and on the right is a picture of my Grandmother, Shirley, when she was a girl. The page about Poppy Jim (as I knew him) actually has another side to it which I don't have a photo of.

As I mentioned earlier, these are photos of scrapbook pages I had already. When we get a scanner (eventually), I will consider having a "scrapbook page of the week" or something like that.
