Mmmmmmm.....

We just got back from having dinner at Armstrongs restaurant (where we are having the wedding). Actually it was about an hour ago but it took me this long to decide to write a post.

Thought I'd write about it on here as it isn't *strictly* wedding news and I have been neglecting this blog and no one seems to read the wedding one!

Anyway.

Tonight we went out to dinner at the restaurant where we are having the wedding reception. We couldn't taste the exact menu we are having for the wedding, but we got a complimentary meal for them to 'showcase their food'. Which was great by us! We got a 3 course meal with wines for free! Actually we shared the entree but glad we did because otherwise I would have EXPLODED (or not had room for dessert, which would have been worse).

They bought out really nice turkish bread and olive oil & herbs to start which was yummy. Hope they have that bread at the wedding! Then we ordered a 'blue swimmer crab frittata' for entree. For main I had the fish of the day (barramundi served on a crab risotto with champagne sauce!) and matt had the rib fillet (don't know what else it had cause I only paid attention to mine!). They also brought out some little baked potatoes which we didn't ask for but were really nice (I think they just automatically gave everyone them as a side). For dessert we had a tasting platter with 4 different desserts on it, which we shared (they were only little - like shot glass size for the strawberry mousse - so it wasn't like we were TOTAL pigs).

Anyway, I don't think we have anything to worry about with the wedding. The food was bloody fantastic.
The wines weren't too bad either - we both thought they were pretty nice even though we have chosen the cheapest ones for the reception (mind you, to me $24 a bottle isn't really cheap).

So anyway we are both really full now, but the food was sooo good. Can't wait for the wedding. Better not eat as much then as I have tonight though or the wedding night won't be very exciting! Hehehe.

I am a slacker...

Yeah yeah, I know. I've been slacking off. I haven't been posting on here much lately. It just seems like all the news I have at the moment is all wedding related! So I hope you have all stopped by the wedding website because I have done a few posts there, and there are sure to be more to come: we are meeting with the celebrant on Wednesday and Matt & the boys are trying on suits on Saturday.

As well as all the wedding stuff, I have also been working on an ICT portfolio for work. Stupid me put my hand up to do what I thought was a training course but has turned out to be basically a lot of work (and I haven't really learned anything new - I just have to do a big assignment to prove what I already know, if that makes sense). It is due tomorrow and we are supposed to submit it electronically, but it isn't working. I will feel a lot better when it is all done and out of the way. It's been a while since uni, and I forgot how much work assignments can be! It's funny when I look back and think about uni that's not what comes immediately to mind. I guess I tend to look at the past through rose-coloured glasses (I mean, if you think I get a lot of holidays now, we got SO many more from uni! But I was working as well so I guess it's not exactly the same).

Anyway, I haven't posted in a while and now I am rambling. There's not really that much to write about the last couple of weeks and it would take too long to tell everything, so I'll leave it at this for now. Hopefully I will get time to do some more posts this week. But please stay tuned to the wedding website because I will definitely be doing more posts there!

I haven't done an Inspire Me Thursday challenge in a while either so I will try to get around to doing one in the next week or so.
